This ‘City Edition’ complete uniform was worn by Jalen Brunson on February 17, 2024, in the Starry 3-Point Contest during the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night. Brunson finished with 24 points, getting eliminated in the 1st round of the event.

Jalen Brunson is having the best season of his career to date, leading the New York Knicks potent offense alongside fellow All-Star Julius Randle. Brunson is on track for a stellar shooting season, making over 40% of his 3-pointers, despite attempting 2 more per game than last season. Making his first appearance in the Starry 3-Point Contest, Brunson was a popular dark horse candidate. He shook off a slow start, and in the middle of his round, he drained 9 of 10 shots, including the deep ‘Starry Ball’ worth 3 points. He would finish with 24, falling just short of moving on to the final round. Brunson hopes to keep up the sharpshooting in the 2nd half of the season to keep the Knicks in the title conversation.

Going Deeper | Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson entered the 2018 NBA Draft, where he was selected with the 3rd pick in the 2nd round, as perhaps the most decorated player in the class. Having just led Villanova to the 2018 NCAA National Championship (and winning another in 2016), Brunson also won the Bob Cousy award and was named Consensus National Player of the Year, NCAA East Region Most Outstanding Player, BIG EAST Player of the Year, BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and to the NCAA Final Four All-tournament Team.

Brunson joined fellow rookie Luka Doncic on the Dallas Mavericks and quickly demonstrated his scoring abilities, becoming a key piece of the Mavericks’ rotation. His breakout performance was in game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals in 2022, where without Doncic, Brunson led the Mavericks past Jazz with 41 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals to tie the series. After Doncic’s return, the tandem led the Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals, the team’s best finish since 2011.

In the summer of 2022, Brunson joined the New York Knicks and flourished as the starting point guard, putting up career-best averages in points and assists while leading the Knicks to their first playoff series win in a decade.
