NIKE, NIKE MESH JERSEY, SIZE 46 (+4 LENGTH)
This away ‘Icon Edition’ jersey was worn by Jayson Tatum on June 5, 2022 during Game 2 of the NBA Finals, when the Boston Celtics played the Golden State Warriors.
Jayson Tatum entered his first NBA Finals in 2022 with massive expectations. He had proven himself to be one of the best young players in the league, and a matchup with the Golden State Warriors - the de facto NBA dynasty of the 2010s - would be his biggest test in his young career. Tatum reached new heights in the regular season, averaging career highs in points, rebounds, and assists on his way to being named to First Team All-NBA for the first time.
Tatum shrugged off a disappointing Game 1 performance in Game 2, finishing with a team-high 28 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. The all-around performance wasn’t enough, as the Celtics fell to the Warriors 107-88. Tatum is looking to get redemption and capture his first NBA title in 2024 against the Mavericks.
Tatum’s play since his entrance to the league has helped catapult the Celtics into the championship conversation each season. Boston has made the Playoffs each year since Tatum’s arrival in the 2017-2018 season, making the Eastern Conference Finals 4 times and the Finals twice.
In the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, Tatum set a new All-Star Game Record with 55 points, taking home the, ‘The Kobe Bryant MVP Trophy’ in the process.
At the time of cataloging, Tatum has career averages of 23.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He is a 5-time NBA All-Star, a 3-time All-NBA 1st Team selection, a 2017-2018 All-Rookie selection, 2021-2022 Eastern Conference Finals MVP, and 2017-2018 All-Rookie First Team selection.
