Nicknamed the ‘Greek Freak’ on account of his home country and freakish athleticism, Giannis Antetokounmpo has arguably been the most dominant player in the NBA for the past five years. At just 28 years old, Antetokounmpo’s resume is already Hall of Fame worthy. He won back-to-back league MVPs in 2018-19 and 2019-20. In the latter season, he was also named Defensive Player of the Year. Following the 2020-21 season, Giannis added a Finals MVP and All-Star Game MVP to his trophy case. His 50-point and 14-rebound performance in the series clinching Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals is one of the greatest individual NBA Finals game performances of all time.

In his second MVP season in 2019-20, Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a league-best 56-17 record and the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference. The ‘Greek Freak’ averaged an eye-popping 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game. The season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic only to resume in the ‘NBA Bubble’ in July 2020. The Bucks ultimately fell to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Antetokounmpo and the Bucks got their revenge the following season by securing the franchise’s first NBA title since 1971.

Giannis wore these Nike Zoom Freak 1’s in his second MVP season during a 111-104 Milwaukee Bucks victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on December 19, 2019 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Antetokounmpo registered 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in the win over LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers.

The sneakers have been photomatched by Resolution Photomatching to December 19, 2019. A photomtach letter and graphics accompany the sneakers.

In addition, Resolution also photomatched the left sneaker to November 23, 2019 and December 21, 2019. They identified a ‘Likely Photomatch’ of the right sneaker to December 21, 2019.

On November 23, 2019, Antetokounmpo scored 28 points and added 10 rebounds in a 104-90 Bucks victory over the Detroit Pistons. On December 21, 2019, Antetokounmpo recorded a triple double with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 123-102 Bucks win over the New York Knicks.

Across the three aforementioned games, ‘The Greek Freak’ registered 84 points, 32 rebounds, 20 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.

The sneakers are also accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication regarding the signature.
