Princess Maria Immaculata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Archduchess of Austria-Tuscany (1844–1899)

Archduchess Maria Immaculata of Austria-Tuscany, Duchess of Württemberg (1878-1968)

Princess Maria Antonia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Grand Duchess of Tuscany (1814-1898) gifted this jewel to her daughter-in-law Princess Maria Immaculata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies as a wedding present in 1861. Originally the pearls were part of two stiff bracelets, each clasp consisted of a large opal within a diamond frame. In the note of Archduchess Maria Immaculata of Austria-Tuscany, Duchess of Württemberg (1878-1968) it is described how the original opal and diamond clasps were transformed into a pair of brooches.
