A Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted Chinese blue porcelain vase, the porcelain Qianlong, the mounts circa 1765
with entwined serpents as handles, with green man mask heads below, on a fluted base with garlands of husks on scroll feet
36cm. high, 19cm. wide; 1ft. 2¼in., 7½in.
thence by descent to his grand-daughter and heir Mary Constance "Molly" Boynton (d.1890-1974), who married Philip Lloyd-Greame (who took the name Cunliffe-Lister), later 1st Earl of Swinton, and by descent to the Trustees of the Lord Swinton Will Trust.
