Description
Château Montrose 1924
St. Estèphe, 2ème Cru Classé
u. ms, label soiled, metal capsule soiled; Etiquette sale, capsule en métal sale
A heathery bouquet, with the Montrose meaty `beefiness'. Less refined than the other Montrose wines of the '20s (a fabulous decade for the château) but masses of fruit and concentration. A great treacly centre and tarry finish - deeply concentrated. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
