First French edition, 4to (262 x 201mm.), half-title, errata leaf at end, later nineteenth-century morocco gilt, spine with raised bands in six compartments, gilt edges, marbled endpapers, inner dentelles, small professional restoration at outer margin of half-title, some light spotting
A very good copy of what is considered to be one of the first works on Egyptology (whose author was born in c.1162), containing a detailed description of monuments.
