This chair is identical to two others, one in the Henry Ford Museum, (see Helen Comstock, American Furniture, New York, 1962, fig. 263.), the other in the Karolik Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (see M. and M. Karolik Collection of Eighteenth Century American Arts, Boston, 1941, p. 148, fig. 86).
