the black lacquered twelve-plate iron bowl with raised ridges applied with copper-gilt so-fukurin [ornamental border], terminating in a six-stage copper-gilt tehen kanamono of typical chrysanthemum form, plain black lacquer mabisashi [peak] with copper-gilt fukurin, the black lacquer turnbacks applied with copper-gilt and shakudo tomoe-mon [comma-shaped crests], the four tiered black lacquer shikoro [neck guard] with spaced lacing in green braid, gold and red lacquer tataki-nuri edging to the bottom tier, gilt metal maedate [forecrest] in the form of the character kan
