Kabuto [helmet]:

the red lacquered choshin kabuto [collapsible helmet] comprised of three tiered solid plates joined with spaced lacing in blue braid, plain red lacquer mabisashi [peak] and fukigaeshi [turnbacks], red lacquered five-tiered itamono-jikoro [solid plate neck guard] laced in matching braid, gold lacquered maedate [forecrest] in the form of large kuwagata

 

Mempo [face mask]:

The red lacquered hanbo [half mask] of typical form, three-tiered yodaregake [throat protector] with close-spaced lacing in blue braid

 

Do [cuirass]:

The collapsible iron cuirass comprised of red lacquered rectangular iron plates linked by chainmail weave, six tassets of kusazuri [skirt] similarly constructed and linked by chainmail

 

Sode, kote [shoulder guards and sleeves]:

 Five-tiered red lacquer shoulder guards with spaced lacing in blue braid, chainmail sleeves with blue silk lining decorated with floral and geometric design, red lacquered iron tekko [gauntlets


Haidate, sune-ate [thigh protectors and shin guards]:

The thigh protectors similarly constructed with red lacquered iron plates linked by chainmail weave and further blue silk lining, shino sune-ate
