Tasted from magnum. A phenomenally cold winter, with January temperatures the lowest for 150 years, resulted in a late harvest and small yields, but the splendid summer and autumn weather produced a vintage that simply shines out and proclaims its stunning quality. All the grape varieties came through and from the very first sniff you know you are in the presence of something special. A glorious, toasty bouquet preceded an almost tactile taste, showing coffee and passion fruit. There is a creamy, almost 'pâtisserie' feel to the texture and great persistence of flavour.
