the 30¾in. curved steel flat back blade finely etched with ‘VR’ cypher and Admiralty fouled anchor device, signed in cartouche 'J. Jones / 6 / Regent ST / London' by gilt brass mameluke hilt with polished resin grip drilled for sword knot and straight quillons, contained within brass-mounted leather scabbard of issue, together with a regulation sword belt with gilt embroidery of Flag Officer rank

the sword 91.5cm. long overall; 36in.
