Van Halen
Van Halen II. Warner Bros: 1979
LP in the original sleeve (catalogue number K56616 [HS 3312]), signed by Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen, and Michael Anthony on the front cover, with the original inner photographic sleeve and additional plain white sleeve, A-side runout reading "K56616 A1 ••E.G•• < STRAWBERRY W-2" and B-side runout reading "EG — W-3 K56616 — B1 STRAWBERRY"; some rubbing with fading to signatures, light creasing.
A signed copy of Van Halen's second album. The band recorded Van Halen II in just a week, fresh off the heels of their first world tour. In 2004, Eddie Van Halen buried the black-and-yellow guitar pictured on the rear cover (known as "Bumblebee") with Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, who had been murdered while performing. Prior to his death, Dimebag had asked Van Halen for a replica, as it was his favorite guitar; at Dimebag's funeral, he placed "Bumblebee" in his casket, saying "Dime was an original and only an original deserves the original."
