The Beatles

Gold record presented by the RIAA for "I Feel Fine," ca. 31 December 1964

Gold record record and plaque (overall 400 x 295 mm) with white linen mat; some scratches to gold record and stray stains to printed paper label. Framed and glazed; not examined out of frame.

The gold record for The Beatles' eighth single. "I Feel Fine" was released when demand for new Beatles music was at an unprecedented height, with fans eagerly anticipating their next release after the wave of previous singles had taken American radio by storm. The song, originally written while they were recording "Eight Days A Week," was one of the earliest instances of guitar feedback being used in recorded popular music.
