Description
Eric Clapton
Fender Stratocaster (serial number MZ5176084) in sunburst finish with rosewood fretboard; lacks case.
Signed by Eric “Slowhand” Clapton on the pickguard.
While Clapton started his career with various model guitars (including a Fender Telecaster) in the Yardbirds and famously moved on to a Les Paul in his groundbreaking work with John Mayall, by the time he was making the Layla album with Derek and the Dominoes, he was playing a Stratocaster, and it became his electric guitar of choice ever since.
While many Clapton signed guitars are often very cheap Fender copies, or very low end models at best, the present Fender Mexico is in fact quite a capable instrument.
