Gold record with green cloth mat (overall 300 x 300 mm). Framed and glazed; not examined out of frame.

An original gold record award presented to The Crickets for their second single. The song was written by Sonny West, Bill Tilghman, and Norman Petty, the latter of which presented the demo to Buddy Holly, hoping he would sing on the song. Holly agreed, and the single was recorded between 29 June to 1 July 1957—it later appeared on The "Chirping" Crickets.
