A signed copy of Bruce Springsteen's fourth studio album Darkness on the Edge of Town. Recorded with the E Street Band from June 1977 to March 1978, the album marked the end of a three-year gap between albums brought on by legal disputes with Springsteen's former manager Mike Appel. Though it was less acclaimed than its predecessor Born to Run, the album nevertheless was a steady seller, remaining on the charts for 97 weeks. Compared to previous records, the album was praised for its rawer hard rock sound and its more mature themes and lyrics. The cover photograph featuring Springsteen in a plain white t-shirt and dark leather jacket by Frank Stefanko captures the album's sprit, stripping away the 'celebrity' and leaving viewers with the record's very essence. In later decades, the album is viewed as one of Springsteen's best works and a benchmark for his future career. Known today as one of the greatest albums of all time, the album has been certified triple-platinum by the RIAA. The album was reissued in 2010 with an accompanying documentary detailing the creation process of the album.
