The present photographs were taken by Garry Winogrand at the wedding of his friend, artist Valli Fahri. Winogrand brought his recognizable style to the project, including photographs taken at unconventional angles and particular attention played to subtle storylines. In Winogrand’s hands, the images from Fahri’s wedding feel like stills from a Cinéma verité film.
