Description
Artist: Saul Bass (1920-1996)
Unframed: 81 x 81 in. (206 x 206 cm)
THE ULTIMATE POSTER ON THIS CLASSIC HITCHCOCK TITLE, ONE OF THREE KNOWN EXAMPLES.
When it comes to graphic artists, the name Saul Bass is as big as they come. Bass designed the film's full US campaign, using slight variations on the placement of the figures in relation to the spiral artwork. The artwork on this poster is unique to this size piece. This large poster was printed in four sheets and designed to be pasted onto billboards. Its design and size create a huge impact. The combination of film title, design, rarity and condition make this one of the ultimate film posters of the 20th century.
Vertigo was James Stewart's fourth and final collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock, in one of his best loved thrillers. The mood of the film was greatly enhanced by the score, written by Bernard Herrmann.
