Artist: Tom William Chantrell (1916-2001)
Unframed: 41 x 28 5/8 in. (104 x 72.1 cm)
This piece is a printer's proof for the style C US poster, designed by the British artist Tom William Chantrell. It has the colour matching strip along the left-hand side of the poster. This very rare printer's proof does not surface very often. This was where it all begun back in 1977, when George Lucas brought us the beginning of the Star Wars empire.
Previously from the son of a man who worked at Gore Graphics, the company that printed the poster for the studio in 1977.
