Claude-Marie Meunier (Saint Amour 1770–1846 Paris), the artist's son-in-law;

Thence by inheritance to his wife, Laure-Émilie-Félicité, known as Émilie, Baronne Meunier, née David (1786–1863), the artist's daughter, Calais;

Thence by descent to their son Jules Meunier (1813–1867);

Thence by inheritance to his wife Pauline Derode, baronne Meunier (1824–1903), who died without heirs;

Given to Mathilde Jeanin, daughter of her late husband's cousin Louis-Charles Jeanin (1812–1902) and wife of Marius Bianchi (1822–1904);

Thence by descent to her daughter Renée Bianchi, the Vicomtesse Fleury (1869–1948);

Thence by family descent until sold, Paris, Piasa, 13 December 2006, lot 17, for 2,700,000 euros;

With Jean-Luc Baroni Ltd, London, by 2009;

From whom acquired by the present collector.
