An agate bowl of almost incomparable size carved, along with its base, from a single piece of chalcedony. Displaying colors from toffee to garnet red to jet black, this agate bowl with natural rim is a gorgeous piece of functional mineral sculpture produced by Bernd Hartmann, a renowned contemporary craftsman from Idar-Oberstein, a town with an agate carving tradition dating back to the Middle Ages.
