Arben x Gavin shapiro

The artists.

Fibonacci was created as an experimental collaboration between Gavin Shapiro and Arben Vllasaliu in early 2020, serving as both a showcase of their individual styles as well as a celebration of mathematics and the artistic process.

Mechanical platforms rise from the center of an infinitely-scaling landscape based on the structure of the golden rectangle. Each one smaller than the next, they form a continuous track in the shape of a Fibonacci spiral, carrying a marble through an animatronic world of kinetic ornaments and dancing flamingos.

Sound effects and music by Panos Pagonis further accentuate the rhythm of this hypnotic universe.
