The two UN soldiers in the present work with their ghoulish faces refer to the UN presence in Abidjan during the political crisis of 2010-11, while the fact they are painted over a reproduction of Andy Warhol's whimsical drawing 'Jolly Goat' is in reverence to the frequent collaborator of one of Aboudia's favourite artists and one-time visitor to Côte d'Ivoire, Jean-Michel Basquiat.
