Norman Frank Paul Butler (1918-2011) was a polo player and thoroughbred breeder. In 1960 he bought Kilboy Castle, Co. Tipperary and lived there until 1980. His horses raced with successes in Ireland, England and France. He built a collection of art that include Irish works amongst notable French Modern painters.
