Maquette for Wipers
signed Sargeant Jagger and incised with title (on the inherent base)
painted plaster
height (including base): 47cm.; 18½in.
width (including bayonet): 39cm.; 15¼in.
Conceived in 1919-20, the present work was cast in the early 1930s.
Gifted by the Artist to Dr William Foxley-Norris, and thence by family descent to the previous owner
