diameter without frame: 29cm., 11⅜in.
diameter with frame: 49cm., 19¼in.
Possibly referred to in the 1887 inventory of the Castle of Ponthoz, Liège as ‘Charles VI Emperor d’Allemagne (sculpté)’, priced 100 francs and displayed in the library (this assumes the subject was misidentified);
probably Comte Theodor Joseph van der Straten Ponthoz (1809-1889);
thence by descent to the estate of the van der Straten Ponthoz family, until circa 1981;
