Gem set and diamond necklace, Cartier, circa 1930 and later

The hexagonal carved emerald within a surround of cabochon sapphires and rubies decorated with single-cut, rose and baguette diamonds, the links decorated with buff-top rubies, sapphires and emeralds, pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, enhanced with baguette diamonds, length approximately 400mm, signed Cartier, partially numbered, fitted case stamped Cartier, one emerald deficient.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 134036, stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with a moderate amount of oil in fissures.
