Showa period, 20th century


each a woodblock print, signed Hasui, sealed Kawase, and comprising:


- Saishoin Temple in Hirosaki (Hirosaki, Saishoin), from the series Collected Views of Japan, Eastern Japan Edition (Nihon fukei shu higashi Nihon hen), titled in Japanese in the left margin, and in pencil in Roman script in the bottom margin Saishoin Temple in Snow, Aomori, publisher’s circular seal Watanabe (Watanabe Shozaburo) to lower left corner, no date on this impression but originally published in 1936. post-war printing

- Clearing After Snowfall on Mount Fuji, Tagonoura Beach (Fuji no yukibare, Tagonoura), titled in the lower right margin, publisher’s mark to lower left margin Hanken shoyu Doi hanga-ten [copyright reserved, Doi print dealers], and with carver’s mark Harada and printer’s mark Yokoi, dated Showa shichinen ichigatsu saku (made in January 1932), post-war printing
