Kawase Hasui (1883-1957)
Three woodblock prints depicting snow scenes
Showa period, 20th century
each a woodblock print, signed Hasui, sealed Kawase, and comprising:
- Snow at Hinuma Marsh in Mito (Mito Hinuma no yuki), titled in the left margin as above, publisher's circular seal to the bottom right Watanabe (Watanabe Shozaburo), dated Showa nijuninen saku (made in 1947)
- Honmon-ji Temple in Ikegami (Ikegami Honmonji), titled in the lower left margin as above, publisher’s circle seal to the bottom left Watanabe, dated Showa rokunen ichigatsu saku (made in January 1931), post-war printing
- Spring Snow in Kiyomizu, Kyoto (Haru no Yuki, Kyo no Kiyomizu), titled in the lower right margin as above, publisher's mark Hanken shoyu Doi hanga-ten [copyright reserved, Doi print dealer's] and watermark Do, and with printer's mark Yokoi and carver's mark Harada, dated Showa shichinen shigatsu saku (made in April 1932), post-war printing
