Rolex collectors have always been captivated by the atelier’s special-order wristwatches, from military-issued pieces by the British Royal Navy, and COMEX, to Middle Eastern monarchies. Corporate special-orders also garner collector’s prestige today, from Winn Dixie and Halliburton, to Domino’s Pizza.

From our research, in 2015, the United States Secret Service Employee Recreation Association (ERA) marked the 150th anniversary of the United States Secret Service (USSS) with the sales of personalized memorabilia including 15 laser engraved Rolex wristwatches commissioned through Tourneau New York. Appraisals from Tourneau confirmed their order from Rolex’s Corporate Sales Division.

The present lot is a later special edition out of 50 total pieces, delivered to the previous owner, a USSS alumnae in the Fall of 2020. Accompanying the watch is a Tourneau appraisal, confirming this special order directly from the retailer’s Corporate Sales Division. The appraisal further describes “the case back design consisting of the U.S. Secret Service Old Star and corresponding motto, Worthy of Trust and Confidence has been engraved by Rolex USA.” A Tourneau Certificate of Origin additionally notes the official corporate sales order.

The United States Secret Service was founded in 1865 to combat the counterfeiting of U.S. currency. Today, the USSS is integral to national security missions, and safeguarding the nation’s physical and financial infrastructure.

We are pleased to offer this rare opportunity to acquire a limited edition special-order wristwatch in complete, like new condition.
