When the Sea-Dwellers were introduced to the market in the late 1960s, the Submariners were already able to reach an impressive depth of 200 meters/660 feet. However, the Sea-Dwellers were made specifically for professional divers like the True-Beat for doctors and Milgauss for scientists. The present watch preserved in good overall condition is a reference 16600, which was in production from 1989 to 2009. Being the longest lasting Sea-Dweller reference, it has experienced the evolution of the luminous material made from tritium to Luminova to finally, Super Luminova.
