In 2006, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5140 as a replacement for the previous reference 3940. Despite retaining the automatic perpetual calendar movement, caliber 240 Q, the case size was increased from 36 mm to a more modern 37 mm. The dial design was also updated for better legibility and to align with other Patek Philippe's contemporary pieces. The iconic Calatrava case and practical function, the stylish reference 5140 became highly desirable. Patek Philippe discontinued the reference 5140 in 2016 and replaced it with the reference 5327, still in production today. This model features a beautiful bronze-colored dial and is offered in excellent condition.
