Richard Mille

Felipe Massa has been a prominent ambassador for Richard Mille. As an enthusiast of motor sports, one of Richard Mille’s vision is to bring the world of racing onto the wrist, and it seems only natural for him to partner with Felipe Massa, Brazailian Formula One champion. The collaboration of Felipe Massa and Richard Mille can be traced all the way back to 2004, when the racer wore the RM006 at a pre-launch endurance test event of the watch. As a friend of Richard Mille, Felipe Massa has contributed his precious feedback for the brand, and finally in 2007, he received a collection dedicated to him - the RM011 Felipe Massa which would go on to become a pivotal reference on the Richard Mille catalogue. Prior to the RM011, only the RM004-V2 and RM008-V2 were the only chronographs for the brand. RM011 was the first model of the brand to have an automatic flyback chronograph movement - manufactured in collaboration with Fleurier-based Vaucher, an entrusted movement supplier who also made the openworked movement of the RM005.

The RM011 embodies the definition of a Richard Mille watch - tonneau shape, innovative and light. Perhaps the collection with the most variety, the RM011 is offered in various colours and cases, such as carbon fibre or blue ceramic, while the present example features a classic combination of titanium and red highlights. As Filipe Massa announced his last season with Formula 1 in 2016, so did Richard Mille discontinued the highly acclaimed model. The RM011 represents the genuine fruition of the two figureheads in their respective industries and such is an amazing opportunity to acquire this timeless treasure.
