In the modern age where production of timepieces are often mass produced, Kari Voutilainen’s independent watchmaking atelier provides a masterful relief. Most notably, the brand has become renowned for its painstaking manual craftsmanship, a process so meticulous that typically no more than 60 watches are made per annum.  Yet, even among the elusive masterpieces that leave their workshops each year, the Vingt-8 is perhaps the most iconic. Except for the jewels, mainspring and hairspring, the Vingt-8 offers a fully in house construction, including a unique double escapement wheel architecture that promises to be much more efficient compared to regular lever escapements. Furthermore, like all of Kari Voutilainen’s crafts, the watch features unparalleled finishing, a trait especially prominent in the 3 different patterns of the current watch’s blue dial. The current timepiece is also completed with a hefty platinum case and Kari Voutilainen's signature tear shaped lugs, forming an elegant blend between the distinguished artistry of the blue dial and the glamorous shine of the case.
