Patek Philippe

First presented at Baselworld 2011 in platinum, reference 5208 encapsulates Patek Philippe's horological mastery by combining a single-button chronograph function, a perpetual calendar and a minute repeater. With a highly legible and balanced dial layout, in 2018 the Swiss manufacturer ceased the production of the reference in platinum and began to use pink gold for the highly distinctive cases of these highly complicated timepieces with their hollowed lugs. 

The sapphire crystal display back allows the wearer to observe the beautifully executed and potent automatic calibre R CH 27 PS QI with a captivating 22k gold guilloché rotor that powers a movement composed of 719 individual parts. Largely based on calibre CH 27-525 PS, Patek Philippe was able to achieve the addition of a perpetual calendar and a minute repeater, the latter cleverly placed on the outer edge of the movement with its two charming striking hammers. The construction of such a movement is so elaborate that only a few are made per year, estimated to be around 10 pieces, and even then, prospective buyers undergo a thorough screening process by the manufacturer.
