Height 74 cm, 29⅛ in.

Grand in stature and sumptuously decorated, the present vase showcases the great technical advancements made in the 18th century in the production of cloisonné ware. Compare a similar Qianlong mark and period vase in the Pierre Uldry Collection, included in the exhibition Chinesisches Cloisonné. Die Sammlung Pierre Uldry, Rietberg Museum, Zurich, 1985, cat. no. 81; and another vase, sold at Christie’s London, 11th June 1973, lot 172.
