Haiderabad Pegmatites, Shigar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
4⅛ x 1¾ x 1¼ inches (10.5 x 4.53 x 3.31 cm). Aquamarine crystal measures 8.40 x 2.29 x 2.16 cm. With custom black acrylic base.
This is a particularly striking aquamarine combination specimen with albite and muscovite. The two associated minerals at the base allow for the single aquamarine crystal to be viewed on matrix, accentuating its relatively large size. In addition to its noteworthy size and structure, the color of the aquamarine is a deep, saturated sky blue, something not commonly seen in aquamarines from Pakistan.
