The present table relates to a pair of tables today in the Apartment of the Gran Principe Ferdinando at Villa del Poggio Imperiale, which were originally documented in 1761 in Palazzo Pitti in the actual Room of the King in the Royal Apartment, where they remained until after 1860 (published by E. Colle, op. cit. 1997). The wooden support with turned legs and X-stretchers with a central vase is a typical Florentine model of the late 17th century.
