Freddie Mercury's multi-coloured jacket


worn at the signing of Queen’s publishing deal with EMI Music, November 1975


the loose-fitting brightly coloured jacket of Hungarian flame weave, with patch pockets at the hips and matching self-tie belt, labelled ‘Union Blue’; and a pair of bespoke ivory satin flared trousers, fastening at the waist with one large button, with plain cream interior waistband, unlabelled; and an ivory satin evening scarf with geometric self-weave pattern, with short fringes to either end, 180 cm. long

This jacket was a clear favourite of Freddie’s, as evidenced by the number of photographs of him wearing it during 1975, most notably to sign Queen’s publishing deal with EMI Music in November, 1975 and during their first trip to Japan, April - May 1975.
