Doug Puddifoot was a friend of Roger Taylor. He was asked to shoot Queen for their first photoshoot on 17 March 1973 at Freddie's flat at 100 Holland Road, West London. The resulting shots show the band in a warmly toned room with a number of objects and props, with both group and individual portraits. The photos were used cut up and arranged by Freddie and Brian May and used for the back cover of Queen.
