the group comprising a pair of Ninsei-style Kyoto ware chawan, decorated in black, green and iron red enamels and gilt, with a band of lappets beneath lozenges in gilt, black interior; a Kyoto ware chawan, decorated in green and white enamels and gilt, with chrysanthemums; a late Kutani style chawan decorated in iron red and gilt, with swirled panels of geometric design bamboo, pine and seigaiha; two Ninsei-style chawan, decorated in iron red, blue and green enamels and gilt with penals of seigaiha, geometric design and Heian courtiers, black interior; a Kyoto ware bowl decorated in dark blue and gilt with panels beneath waves
