Freddie Mercury’s casual attire from the 1970s-1980s including an imitation fur collared bomber jacket


A bomber jacket of grey cotton with imitation black fur collar, grey knitted cuffs and hem, two patch pockets with popper fastening, zip-fastening to front, grey padded lining, labelled inside ‘Down by Schott NYC’;


-and a 1970s polo shirt of white cotton with green, yellow and blue horizontal stripes across the chest with white collar and single breast pocket


-and two pairs of grey wool trousers: one wide-legged pair of stiffened wool with pleated fronts,

labelled ‘cacharel, paris’ [with moth damage]; the other pair, also wide-legged and with pleated fronts, labelled ‘St. Michael’

Freddie is photographed in the mid-1970s wearing a similar design polo shirt in a different colour way and a similar pair of grey trousers whilst sitting with his parents Jer and Bomi Bulsara in his Kensington flat in a room full of gold discs.
