Description
W.L. Weller 19 Year Old 90 Proof 1983
Distilled in Spring 1983, bottled in Fall 2002, ullage: top shoulder, bottom of label very slightly worn
William Larue Weller ranks among the original lineup of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, released every fall in very limited numbers. While it is currently bottled at about 12 years old, William Larue Weller was, for its first four years (2000-2003), released at 19 years in age. The whiskey came from a stock of Stitzel-Weller wheated bourbon distilled in the early 1980s and sold by Diageo, the current owners of Stitzel-Weller, to Buffalo Trace in the late 1990s. That makes this whiskey among the oldest and most coveted Stitzel-Weller bourbons ever made.
