Michter's Single Barrel Bourbon 10 Year Old 94.4 proof NV

Michter’s has long been a favorite of bourbon connoisseurs, especially for its age-stated bottles. The company, founded by Joe Magliocco, took advantage of low demand for well-aged whiskey in the 1990s to buy up choice barrels from around Kentucky. Michter’s then released them in semi-annual batches, starting with 10-year-old bourbon and rye, and later at 25 years old. While its earliest whiskeys were bottled by Julian Van Winkle III, until it moved to its own location, Michter’s was bottled primarily by Willett – including this bottle, which is rumored to contain whiskey from Stitzel-Weller and is said to be much older than its age statement, perhaps as high as 19 years old.
