Description

Echézeaux 1988

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Côte de Nuits, Grand Cru

Levels into the neck, wine-stained and slightly torn labels, slightly corroded capsule, 1 slightly sunken cork

Average Age of vines: 31 years Average Production: 1340 Total Production 1988 (doz): 978 Yield (hl/hectare): 18.84 Briary, yet rosy nose. Plummy overtones. Inky too. The tannin and structure made it a keeper, but it can now be drunk with real pleasure. Maybe it has a touch of 1995 to it. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
