The Zenith El Primero was introduced in 1969 as the first automatic chronograph movement. It marked a turning point in the history of chronographs and was rightly acclaimed both by clients and other Manufactures such as Rolex which used it to equip their Daytona between 1988 and 2000.

Beyond its historical importance, the movement is unanimously recognized as being robust and reliable. After more than 50 years, it is still the spearhead of the brand.

This particular version is equipped with a colorful bezel and subsidiary dial, hence its name “Rainbow”. These colour were chosen to improve the readability of the watch and make sure it could be used in any situation.
