In 2018, Patek Philippe took the collecting world by storm with the launch of the instantly legendary reference 5740. Produced only in a 40 mm white gold case with a white gold bracelet and sapphire crystal display back, it was the very first perpetual calendar Nautilus ever released. Additionally, it boasts a magnificent dial, showing a new shade of blue and white printing compared to the other Nautilus references. The movement, Caliber 240 Q, is based on the ultra-thin automatic Caliber 240, an appropriate choice for the Nautilus since one of the goals of its original design was to make it slim - the case is 8.32mm thick, which makes the reference 5740 one of the thinnest perpetual calendars produced by the manufacture. The present lot is offered with its full suite of accessories.
