Label Artist: Gu Gan
Cabernet Sauvignon 77%, Merlot 13%, Cabernet Franc 10%. In 2023, this has come into its own, deep velvet form. A blast of Cabernet Sauvignon on the nose, although there was less in the blend at this time than now. Aromatic and tannic structured on the palate, with the full black fruit to back it up. Precise and incisive. Noble, dramatic stuff and still with years to go. In magnum, even fresher, with huge cassis juiciness emphasising the 'grand vin' status. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
