Description

Château Angélus 2009

St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)

Excellent level and appearance; Excellent niveau et apparence

60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc. In 2015, a wonderfully opulent, scented nose that is enormously appealing. An exotic touch too, plus black liquorice. A "baroque" wine. Warmth and sweetness - hard to spit! A real aftertaste of dried fruits, figs and cinnamon. Sensational, Asian spices finish, with sweet succulence.

Serena Sutcliffe, MW
